Ohio To Take on Troy in R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl


Its official, Ohio is going to the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl where they will take on Troy. After a week of awaiting their bowl fate following the team's loss to Kent State, Bobcat fans were pleased to hear that their team was going to a bowl game.

The R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl is one of the first bowl games to take place during the bowl schedule. The game will take place on Saturday December 18th at 8:00pm on ESPN.

For Ohio, its their 3rd bowl game in 5 years and the first time in their history that they have ever been to back to back bowl games. Ohio has a chance to get their first bowl win in the schools history and a chance to get 9 wins for the 3rd time in 5 seasons.

Ohio's opponent will be Troy from the Sun Belt Conference. Troy is 7-5 overall on the season and won the Sun Belt Conference. Troy is a high scoring team that trys to outscore its opponents rather than stop them on defense.

Troy has one bowl win in the schools history and will try to make it two vs. Ohio.
