Big Second Half Leads IUPUI Over Ohio

I don't want to sound like a pessimist, but it looks like Ohio University is not as good as we thought they would be. Ohio blew a 10 point lead Sunday and went on to lose to IUPUI 66-56.

Ohio's starters struggled badly shooting 9-32 for the game. Devaughn Washington was the only starter for Ohio to have a respectable game. Washington recorded a double-double recording 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Ohio had a 10 point lead in the 2nd half but couldn't hold on to the lead. IUPUI went on a 18-0 run late in the 2nd half and the Jaguars put away the Bobcats.

Leroy Nobles and Alex Young had big games for IUPUI. Nobles scored 23 points and recorded 4 rebounds while Young scored 21 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 assists.

Christian Siakam also had a decent game for the Jaguars scoring 7 points and recording 10 rebounds.

Despite the loss, Tommy Freeman and Reggie Keely had good games off the bench for Ohio. Freeman went off for 17 points while Keely recorded 13 points and 7 rebounds.

Ohio has been playing disappointing basketball up to this point of the season. Just went you think that they are going to get out of their slump, they end up blowing a game like today.

With the loss, Ohio falls to 5-4 on the year and next plays December 15th at home against St. Francis (Pennsylvania).

Attendance: 3,504
Ohio's Record: 5-4
Next Game: December 15th vs. St. Francis (PA)
Key Fact: D.J. Cooper scored only 4 points in the game
Interesting Note: Bench players Tommy Freeman and Reggie Keely combined to score more points than all of Ohio's starters combined
