B-Zone College Basketball Update


On Wednesday, Ohio, Canisius, Niagara, and Syracuse were all in action.


Temple 76, Ohio 65- The trio of Moore, Wyatt, and Jefferson lead Temple on this night. All three scored in double digits to lead the Owls past Ohio. Lavoy Allen was a force on the boards grabbing 13 rebounds. For Ohio, DeVaughn Washington had a huge game with 20 points and D.J. Cooper nearly had a triple-double with 13 points, 8 assists, and 7 rebounds.

Ohio moves to 6-6 with the loss and next plays December 30th vs. Norfolk State.


Canisius 78, Lamar 72- Elton Frazier had a huge day with 22 points to lead Canisius to victory. Julius Coles added a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.

Canisius moves to 5-6 with the win and next plays December 29th vs. Northwestern State.


Drexel 65, #5 Syracuse 93- Syracuse blew away Drexel as both Kris Joseph and Scoop Jardine scored over 20 points. Rick Jackson added a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Syracuse was never really challenged and cruised to the win.

Syracuse moves to 13-0 with the win and next plays December 28th in their conference opener against Providence.


Quinnipiac 88, Niagara 63- James Johnson had a big game for Quinnipiac going off for 23 points. Combine that with Anthony Nelson struggling for the Purple Eagles and Niagara never stood a chance tonight.

Niagara falls to 3-9 with the loss and next plays December 28th at Drexel.
