Lebron 1, Cleveland 0

When Lebron James decided to sign with the Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert declared that the Cavs would win a NBA championship before Lebron James and the Heat did. He might want to eat his words after watching the throbbing that the Miami Heat gave to the Cavaliers in Lebron James's return to Cleveland.

The game got ugly in the second quarter as Miami entered the half up 59-40. Lebron easily played his best game of the season and did his best to quiet the hasty anti-Lebron crowd.

James had 38 points, 8 assists, and 5 rebounds in only 30 minutes of action. Thats right, Lebron scored 38 points in only 30 minutes. The Heat were up by 30 entering the 3rd quarter and went on to win 118-90.

With the win, The Miami Heat move to 12-8 and finally seem to be hitting their stride winning three straight games. Cleveland moves to 7-11 with the loss and is tied for 8th in the eastern conference.

While this game was hyped up from the time it was put on the schedule, it didn't come close to living up to the expectations.

Sure, the Cleveland fans booed their brains out and told Lebron all the hateful things they felt about him. But the game sucked. Cleveland got rocked and Lebron showed us why he left to play with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh.

Sure, the Miami Heat have struggled to start the season. But they still have the pieces in place to win or contend for a championship. Cleveland is no where near championship contention and would be happy just to make the playoffs.

In the end, Thursday's game wasn't even about the two teams on the basketball court. Cavs fans know that they don't have a good team and Miami fans know that Miami will get better with time.

The game was really about Cleveland fans showing their disappointment and hate for Lebron James for leaving them. In that scenario, Cavs fans are the winners and they got to show James how much they truly hate him.

But only losers get excited for almost pulling off a win or getting pay back on some one. Winners know how to handle themselves with class and maturity. After Thursday, we now know who the winner is so far.

Lebron 1
