Ruff Gets 500th Win as Sabres Blank Sharks


On Thrursday night, the Buffalo Sabres defeated the San Jose Sharks 3-0.

Ryan Miller recorded his 3rd shutout of the season while Luke Adam, Jochen Hecht, and Thomas Vanek all scored goals for the Sabres.

With the win, Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff became the 16th coach in NHL history to amass 500 wins and joined Toe Blake as the only one's to get all their wins for one team.

The Sabres move into 10th place in the eastern conference with the win and stand 8 points back of Montreal for the final playoff spot.

Buffalo next plays January 8th at Phoenix.
