On Sunday, Canisius and Niagara were in action

Iona 73, Canisius 75- Greg Logins had a huge game for the Golden Griffins as he scored 30 points in Canisius' upset win over Iona. Canisius shot very well going 28-52 (53.8%) from the field. On top of their good shooting, Canisius did very well in other categories as well. The Golden Griffins recorded 21 assists and 8 blocks for the game.
With the win, Canisius moves to 9-10 (3-6) and next plays January 28th at home vs. their Big 4 rival Niagara.
Fairfield 57, Niagara 49- Niagara struggled shooting the entire game as they lost to Fairfield. Niagara had only 4 assists as a team and only played 7 players deep. Niagara got barely any production from their bench as they scored only 8 points. 40 of Niagara's 49 points were from Marvin Jordan, Anthony Nelson, and Kevon Moore. Leading the way for Fairfield was Yorel Hawkins and Maurice Barrow.
With the loss, Niagara falls to 4-17 (1-8) and next plays January 28th at their Big 4 rival Canisius College.
