The Buffalo Sabres lost to the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-1 Saturday night at HSBC Arena in downtown Buffalo. Thomas Vanek lead off the scoring for Buffalo with a nasty slap shot after being demolished on a check earlier in his shift. Unfortunately, Tampa Bay responded shortly after on Teddy Purcell's 3rd goal of the season to tie the game at 1-1. Adam Hall gave Tampa Bay the lead midway through the second period and they would go on to win 2-1.Attendance: 17,833
