Sabres Fall to Lightning 2-1

The Buffalo Sabres lost to the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-1 Saturday night at HSBC Arena in downtown Buffalo. Thomas Vanek lead off the scoring for Buffalo with a nasty slap shot after being demolished on a check earlier in his shift. Unfortunately, Tampa Bay responded shortly after on Teddy Purcell's 3rd goal of the season to tie the game at 1-1. Adam Hall gave Tampa Bay the lead midway through the second period and they would go on to win 2-1.

Attendance: 17,833
Buffalo record: 8-11-3 (19 pts), 11th in the East
Last 10: 5-4-1

Key Facts: Ryan Miller didn't play Saturday, Patrick Lalime started in his place.
