The Buffalo Bills travel to Cincinnati on Sunday to take on the Bengals. The Bills enter the game coming off there first win of the season at home against the Detroit Lions while the Bengals enter the game at 2-7 and losers of 6 straight. The game didn't sell out so it will be blacked out in Cincinnati.
The main story lines from this matchup of NFL bottom feeders are that Terrell Owens is playing his former team from last season in the Bills and Ryan Fitzpatrick returns to Cincinnati where he started for one season when Carson Palmer was injured.
Cincinnati ranks ahead of Buffalo in the majority of statistical categories but doesn't appear to be in a position where they can take Buffalo lightly. Cincinnati has abandoned the run as of late forcing Palmer to throw the ball too much. Terrell Owens has had a wonderful season as a result with 59 receptions for 834 yards and 7 touchdowns. But Chad Ochocinco has had a down season. If it wasn't enough that Cincy's offense hasn't been as good, there defense hasn't performed as well this year also.
Buffalo looks to take advantage of Cincinnati defense by spreading their defense out and passing it early to set up the run. Running back Fred Jackson had a season high 133 yards rushing (170 total yards) and 2 touchdowns last week vs. the Lions. The Bills running game has opened up ever since Ryan Fitzpatrick has hit his stride. Fitzpatrick is having a great season throwing for 1,645 yards and 14 touchdowns even though he missed three games. Look for him to get the ball to Steve Johnson a lot early and have the Bills run it down Cincy's throat late in the game.
Prediction: Bills make it 2 in a row as they beat Cincy 27-24.
